Great Ledge Cottage - Seasonal Rental
This is a beautiful, private cottage nestled in the woods on a private road overlooking Martin's Cove inlet in Lamoine, Maine. Look out the French Doors to view the water from the kitchen or Great Room and enjoy the gentle breezes coming in from the cove. You may even spy some passing deer or on occasion even a moose or black bear. The cove is a favorite fishing spot for both bald eagles and Great Blue Heron. The walkout basement brings in morning light and allows access to the backyard and the water, where you can sit on the separate deck overlooking the shore and watch the tides change or simply sit outside on the deck and listen to the water lapping at the shore.
The cottage was completely rebuilt in 2007 with everything new both inside and out, as well as all brand new furnishings for the 2008 season. The cottage has 2 bedrooms on the main floor with additional sleeping accommodations downstairs. The large bathroom features an oversized Corian shower.
The cottage easily sleeps 6-8 comfortably with a queen sized bed in the Master Bedroom and 2 twins in the second bedroom. There is also a new queen size sofa sleeper in the basement. Bed Linens and towels are included and the cottage is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, and the essential pots and pans to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
This is the perfect place for families or group get-togethers where privacy and relaxation are the goals. Great Ledge Cottage is only 20 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island and just a few short miles to the city of Ellsworth for all your shopping necessities. This is the ideal starting point from which to explore and venture up the coast to visit Schoodic Peninsula, Quoddy Head Lighthouse or even Campobello Island.
